2:00 pm Reception of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the main gate, a brief opening ceremony of the stone-pillar and invite His Holiness to His chamber at top of the prayer hall

Morning Programs

7:25 am Reception of His Holiness from His chamber
7:30 am Chant-master starts the auspicious prayers to begin the opening ceremony
7:35 am Ceremonial scarf offering by the abbot of the Loseling College to His Holiness the Dalai Lama after His Holiness presided over the throne
7:45 am Chant-master starts the prayers for the tea and sweet-rice offering, money offerings to the monks and nuns, followed by torma offerings

10:00 am Geshe Damdul reads the program details
10:10 am Speech by Kyabje Khenrinpoche
10:20 am Speech by the president of Indo-Tibetan Friendship Committee
10:30 am Speech by either the chief minister or governor of the state
10:40 am Speech by the Prime Minister of the exile Tibetan government
10:50 am Speech by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
11:30 am Ceremonial scarf offerings by the guests and followed by lunch.

Afternoon Programs

1:00 pm Distribution of certificates for the graduate students
1:50 pm Distribution of gifts to some important personnel
2:00 pm Inaugural ceremony of the science curriculums to be studied in the monastic colleges
2:10 pm Opening speech by Geshe Lhakdor-la, the director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, Dharamsala
2:20 pm His Holiness will inaugurate the ceremony the science curriculums followed by a speech
2:50 pm Speech by Geshe Losang Tenzin la on science and Buddhism
3:30 pm Tibetan opera performance by the Mundgod Opera Artists
6:30 pm Debate session: Group and individual debate on the Perfection of wisdom, Epistemology and Middle Path Philosophy
